Imaging & Planning

Advanced Imaging in Surgical Decision-Making

Advanced imaging — including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and digital orthopedic planning — is incorporated into cases where it meaningfully improves diagnosis, informs surgical approach, or changes case management. Not every surgical patient requires advanced imaging, but when it is indicated, it is available at VERG Brooklyn.

CT is particularly useful for complex fractures, thoracic and nasal tumors, spinal pathology, elbow disease, and surgical planning for joint surgery. MRI provides soft tissue resolution that is difficult to match with other modalities, and is central to neurologic case evaluation. Fluoroscopy supports intraoperative implant positioning and fracture reduction.
